In less than 3 hours as of this writing, 2013 will come to an end.. and a new year will begin.
(I don’t know much about other countries but here in the Philippines, we have this New year’s Trend on “declaration of New year’s resolution”.)
Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of good blogs about Goal settings and Goal ‘getting’, which honestly share pretty stuffs.
For the truth of the matter, New year is basically just another day, just on a different calendar year.
Though that might be true, there’s nothing wrong with making the new year something special.
For most people a New year can be a symbol for change, a fresh start, a new beginning.. or whatever, you may want to call it.
Honestly, I’ve been wanting to share stuff that I know about goals, goals setting and also how to stick to your goals and just about other topics related to goals.. and then, I realized an important principle to understand before setting goals.
The principle of SELF-faith.
Self faith is believing in yourself, that YOU have the capability to be who you want to be, and you have what it takes to accomplish your goals.
Most of us, if not all of us, don’t have any problems on setting goals.
The real problem is not on setting goals but on our mindset on sticking to the plan to achieve the goal, on how consistent we can be during the process.
Having a deep understanding of the reasons why you want to achieve your goals will fuel you to move further as you go along in the process of
But none of it all matters if you don’t have self faith.
Because the lack of belief will lead to NO action. No action will lead to ZERO results.
In conclusion, new resolutions are good stuff because you declare the things you want with a resolve to accomplish it. By making a goal, you are therefore establishing a plan to get your goals with specific time frames, and actions, but what I want you to understand is that before starting to set or plan your goals – you must have the absolute resolve to believe in yourself and in your capabilities.
#1 Principle which is more important than knowing how to set goals is- Self faith .
